These remarkable structures were constructed more of 400 years ago by some families shepherds who migrated from the rugged mountains to the serene coast during the winter months, seeking warmer climates. They are strategically perched on a stunning cliff that descends dramatically into the sparkling sea, facing southward, and nestled between the charming villages of Corniglia and Vernazza. Surrounding this breathtaking area, one can find lush olive and fruit trees, beautifully tended vineyards, and a variety of vibrant Mediterranean flora that creates a picturesque and serene landscape.
