On March 21, 2026, SCIACCHETRAIL returns, the 47 km race on the trails of the Park.

Sciacchetrail will be a day of sport and celebration! To ensure the race takes place safely, some trails will be temporarily closed. We invite you to respect the closures and still enjoy the day by planning alternative hikes or by experiencing the excitement of the athletes' arrival in the villages and in Monterosso.

Manarola is getting ready to illuminate its Luminous Nativity Scene, one of the most anticipated events of winter in the Cinque Terre. On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the 64th edition of the nativity scene, conceived by Mario Andreoli, will come to life and will be open for viewing until January 18, 2026.

21 days of emotion from the Black Sea to Rome: here is the Giro d’Italia 2026 in Cinque terre

Stage 11 (Porcari – Chiavari): the stage resumes and includes the iconic Cinque Terre with a route of 178 km and an elevation gain of 2700 m.

In the Cinque Terre National Park, during the spring holidays, the most crowded blue-green trail between Monterosso and Vernazza will return to one-way traffic.
The park authority reports that this is a measure "to better manage tourist flows in light of the expected increase in visitors, for safety, and to improve the welcoming experience for visitors."
On days with the highest influx, one-way traffic will be reinstated on the section of the blue-green trail between Monterosso and Vernazza from 9 AM to 2 PM.

The one-way route from Monterosso to Vernazza will be in effect on the following dates: Saturday, April 19; Sunday, April 20; Monday, April 21; Friday, April 25; Saturday, April 26; Sunday, April 27; Thursday, May 1; Thursday, May 29; Saturday, May 31; Sunday, June 1; and Monday, June 2.

In fact, a significant number of people from the United States, for example, have searched for the term "cinci terre" over the last 30 days, and this particular term is quite a curious one for us Italians.
It highlights not only the interest in this beautiful Italian destination but also shows how it can sometimes be mispronounced or misspelled, perhaps due to unfamiliarity with the Italian language or the intricacies of its spelling.
Nevertheless, such queries demonstrate the growing fascination and eagerness of travelers to explore the unique charm and breathtaking landscapes that the Cinque Terre has to offer.

It has become one of the most cherished races among the running community.

Parco Nazionale Cinque Terre

The National Park has reported the collapse of a wall along the Blue Trail in the Macereto area, which, based on online images, appears to be more indicative of the trail itself collapsing.

This incident occurred following prolonged and heavy rainfall in recent days.

As a result of this event, the trail is currently closed to the public until further notice.

The Cinque Terre National Park has initiated the necessary assessments and has informed the Municipality of Vernazza to issue a closure order for the affected section.

Hikers and local residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and refrain from using the impacted area until further notice.

Updates regarding the timeline for repairs and the reopening of the trail will be provided.

The extraordinary meteorological event known as Caligo has once again made its presence felt in the Cinque Terre.
The spring-like temperatures, which soared above 15 degrees Celsius last Sunday in mid-February, have rejuvenated one of the region's most fascinating weather phenomena.

This event occurs when a flow of warmer air moves over the sea surface, which, at this time of year, has cooler temperatures around 13-14 degrees Celsius. The interaction between the warmer air and the cooler seawater causes evaporation, which then condenses quickly, forming tiny droplets of vapor.

When the air temperature reaches the dew point, the temperature at which air must be cooled at constant pressure for condensation to take place, fog is produced. This fog is then pushed toward the coast by sea breezes.
This phenomenon are infrequent in the Cinque Terre, happening only two or three times a year, and each event leaves onlookers in awe.

In the year 2026, we are excited to announce that our offerings for the breathtaking Cinque Terre will expand to include two new guest houses, each designed to enhance the experience of our guests in this stunning coastal region.

Sciacchetrà, a classic model from Paraggina, is a historic wooden motorboat that was constructed in 1965 by the renowned Cantieri Navali di Chiavari, formerly known as Cantiere Gotuzzo, under the skilled craftsmanship of esteemed designers and master shipwrights Solari and De Negri. In 2006, the boat was acquired by the Park, which was facing significant maintenance challenges. Consequently, a vital restoration project was launched, focusing on repairing the vessel's structural integrity to ensure both navigability and safety, all while preserving the historical significance of this remarkable unit.
The historic ship has functioned as a remarkable venue for guided excursions, short coastal cruises, and themed workshops dedicated to marine sustainability. Thanks to the ecological improvements, it has set a standard for sustainable navigation, promoting environmental consciousness and the preservation of cultural heritage.
However, the current state of the asset presents difficulties that hinder economically feasible restoration initiatives.
Proposals from any interested parties for the required work should be submitted via certified email (pec@pec.parconazionale5terre.it) by 12:00 PM on March 4, 2025.

To see Sciacchetrà, you can reach out to the Park through certified email at the Canaletti Shipyard (Viale San Bartolomeo, La Spezia), which serves as the current storage site for the boat.

Experience the joy of the Jubilee 2025 at the Cinque Terre.
Within our properties, a votive shrine has been established in honor of Blessed Maria Gabriella Sagheddu, who is a maternal relative of our family.
She was honored with beatification by Pope John Paul II in 1983 for her contributions to Christian unity, and in 2018, Pope Francis referenced her life as a testament to sacrificing oneself for the mission of Christian unity in his apostolic exhortation "Gaudete et Exsultate".

The current owners of this residence, who are direct descendants of Beata Maria Gabriella Sagheddu through her maternal lineage, have chosen to construct a votive shrine in Prevo, located within the municipality of Vernazza.

At its core, Sciacchetrail represents a profound journey aimed at reclaiming and celebrating the essence of Cinque Terre. It invites participants to immerse themselves in the breathtaking scenery, where steep cliffs meet the azure sea, and terraced vineyards cling to the hillsides. On Valentine's Day, the Via dell'Amore, a scenic pathway connecting Manarola and Riomaggiore, will reopen to the public after months of closure.

Starting Friday February 14, visitors can access the pathway for free from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, making it a perfect spot for couples and nature lovers.
However, beginning Saturday, reservations and an entrance fee will be required due to new regulations following a landslide that closed the path since October 26.

The Liguria Region has implemented safety measures, including reinforced rockfall nets, to protect visitors.

The reopening not only restores normalcy for the local community but also invites everyone to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Cinque Terre.
